SSES-HVS-010 uses all over the world to measure air pollution (suspended particulate matter) in industrial areas, urban areas, on the shop floors, near monuments and other sensitive areas. By definition, suspended particulates are too small in size to have an appreciable falling velocity and are likely to remain in the atmosphere for significant periods of time. These particulates usually range from 1 micron to approximately 100 microns in size.
